Apex Bermuda is a fully licenced Fund Administrator regulated by the Bermuda Monetary Authority and was the first office opened by company founder, Peter Hughes, in September 2003.
Until fairly recently the region has seen many service providers move to larger outsourcing centres in other lower cost jurisdictions and as a result Bermuda now only has a few administrators (Apex being one of the largest) providing efficient tailored services to clients. With its low tax environment, efficient regulation, an attractive lifestyle, world-class service providers and the convenient location between the US and Europe, Bermuda is well positioned for further growth.
Apex has made sure that the service it delivers is tailored, responsive and its systems are strong with a fully integrated accounting platform and web-portal (Apex247). We can also provide middle office support and management accounting to asset managers that decide to relocate to Bermuda for the tax benefits and minimize the operating costs of their infrastructure.
The current lack of liquidity in the global markets makes it very difficult for asset managers to grow their businesses at the moment and Apex continually looks to help its clients. Apex is currently advising its clients on how to set up segregated cell funds which give fund managers maximum flexibility to grow their asset management businesses while keeping costs to a minimum, and has recently launched a Capital Introduction Service to help our clients leverage our network of asset allocator relationships.
